No-Cal (Model Airplane) : ウィキペディア英語版 | No-Cal (model aircraft)
No-Cal is a competition class of rubber-powered free flight model airplanes. The class rules were defined by the Flying Aces Club. No-Cal (or NOCAL) stand for "No Calories" - as the class is a "profile" model - with the main body of the model having minimal width. The rules for the class are simple: Wingspan is limited to 16", the airplane being modeled must be recognizable, and the model must include the landing gear if the full scale airplane has a fixed landing gear. The model can be represented with the landing gear in the up position if the full scale airplane has retractable landing gear. ==Construction== No-Cal models are designed for light weigh and long flights, typically indoors, or outdoor in calm weather. Construction typically involves laying out a pre-printed tissue sheet atop a structure of lightweight wood such as balsa, attaching the printed tissue sheet to the wood with adhesive, and trimming around that printed image.
